NNJTG Activities
- Advancing Telecommunications Education of the Membership --- We have presenters from the various telecommunications companies and the membership presenting on the latest topics of interest to the group. We have recently reviewed: VOIP, CLECs, local competition, AT&T service updates, Cisco product updates, Wireless Mobility, MPLS, office communications wiring, etc.
- Peer Networking --- Many of the member companies and presenters are on the leading edge of technology. Some take the opportunity to share their valuable experiences with us. Also, it’s obvious that challenges faced by one of our member organizations are likely to be the same ones that other companies face in our membership as well. Discussing these challenges and sharing these experiences with one another affords our members a great opportunity to network with their peers and gain insight to what other members in the industry are doing. This can provide direction when needed and perhaps save time in performing new product/service research.
- Telecommunications Provider Networking --- We’ve been able to network with management and executives from the providers who are members of the users group, or presenters at our meetings. This association has helped many of our member companies gain a greater understanding of various provider product and service offerings. Through these relationships some of our member companies have been able to leverage these provider contacts to assist in making quick resolutions to some of their problems.
- Telecommunications Recruitment --- We have several recruiting companies who are members, and attend our meetings. We refer those members in need to these recruiters at the social gathering after the meetings, and we try to assist member companies in recruiting additional technical staff.
